Kristy S. Gilbert has been editing and designing books and stories for more than twelve years. She is the executive editor of Looseleaf Editorial & Production, an editing and design firm specializing in science fiction & fantasy novels, comics, and games. Looseleaf’s past-client client list includes bestselling authors (like Dan Wells, Brian McClellan, and Charlie N. Holmberg) and respected publishers (like DC Comics, Tachyon Publishing, and Penguin Young Readers).
Kristy is also the editorial director for Dragonsteel Entertainment, Brandon Sanderson’s company. There she edits, designs complex interior layouts, creates ebooks, and does project management for some titles. In 2021, she was named the inaugural Editor of the Year by the League of Utah Writers, the longest-running organization for writers in the state.
In addition to her extensive editing and book design work, Kristy has academic experience in folklore and fairy tales.
